Taken By The Minotaur: Mated To The Beast

by Isabel Dare

Theseus crept down another of the many dark stone corridors of the Labyrinth, holding his torch high. He moved slowly, aware that around every corner, another spear-lined pit could be waiting for him. Every so often, he stretched out his arms to either side. If he couldn’t touch the walls on either side, all was well. If his outstretched hands hit the wall, it meant trouble.

So far, this corridor was wide enough. Not just for him, but for the Minotaur. It needed to be broad enough for his long curving horns and incredibly wide shoulders to pass through without hindrance.

That was the point of his scouting ahead alone. Theseus needed to make sure that the way he chose through the Labyrinth would let the Minotaur through. They had to make it out together.

Theseus shook his head, laughing a little at himself. If someone had told him a week ago that he would be escaping the Labyrinth along with its monstrous inhabitant, he would have thought them mad.

When Theseus first came here, to the palace of Knossos, he arrived as a prisoner in self-chosen exile, together with thirteen of his countrymen and women, sent to the palace as tribute from Athens. They had been told they would be delivered to the Minotaur as a sacrifice, and they all thought this meant they would be eaten.

Theseus had freed the other prisoners and sent them away from the palace. They were well on their way to Athens by now, he hoped, safe and free.

Alone, Theseus had made his way into the Labyrinth, intending to kill the Minotaur.

Little did he know what would happen after that. He could not have imagined it. He could not have known that the Minotaur required his slaves for other reasons than food: he needed them to slake his lusts. And Theseus had taken up that burden, alone.

Even in his wildest dreams, his darkest fantasies, Theseus could not have envisioned surrendering himself to a huge man-bull. All of himself. His body, his mind, his soul.

The Minotaur had begun by taking his body - brutally, forcefully - and somehow, in the process, he had won the rest of Theseus over as well.

Theseus had lost his virginity to the Minotaur, and maybe some of his common sense, too. He wanted nothing more than to be taken by the Minotaur again, and again, and again.

The Minotaur was a monster, but he was a man, too. A strong, proud warrior of a man named Asterion, who had been cursed by the gods to be born with a monster’s shape: a bull’s head, a bull’s tail, a bull’s horns and hooves, and a body as tall as a tree, like one of the Giants of the old tales.

Theseus had fallen for the man, not the monster. At least, that was what he told himself.

Though the sheer size of him… Theseus swallowed at the thought, his mouth suddenly dry… there was something about the sheer size of the Minotaur that was strangely appealing.
